OST excels in developing and implementing a variety of science initiatives that span the complex nexus between policy, management, and science. We strive to achieve the highest scientific rigor while ensuring that the outcomes of our initiatives are presented in a way that is compelling to a non-scientific audience and can truly inform better policy and management decisions.
OST is currently working to identify managers' most pressing needs and lay the scientific groundwork to fill those needs by collaborating with the Ocean Protection Council to institute the following processes:
